Sylvar Technologies Inc. is committed to investing in partnered research for the advancement of baculovirus technologies. Sylvar is uniquely positioned to capitalize from the research experiences and partnerships of its founding shareholders, Forest Protection Limited (FPL) and BioAtlantech.

Forest Protection Limited has a long-standing research commitment to enhance the ability to protect forestlands responsibly and effectively. Since its inception in 1952, FPL has successfully established many mutually beneficial research partnerships with forest stakeholders such as Natural Resources Canada, Canadian Forest Service - Atlantic Forestry Centre, SERG-International, the University of New Brunswick, the United States Forest Service, the New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources, the Biocontrol Network, and several major forest products companies.

As the lead agency for developing the life science industry in New Brunswick, BioAtlantech has a keen ability to foster innovative partnerships that enable development and adaptation of biotechnologies. BioAtlantech has developed numerous alliances with universities and research organizations throughout New Brunswick, the Atlantic Region and Canada including provincial and federal economic development agencies, the provincial and federal research organizations, research councils, institutes and universities.

Sylvar Technologies Inc. presently partners with Forest Protection Limited, BioAtlantech, the Canadian Forest Service – Atlantic Forestry Center, the University of New Brunswick, New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources, and several of the Atlantic region's major forest products companies. This partnership seeks to launch an innovation system to identify, assess, develop and commercialize baculovirus technology.
